Washington – President Donald Trump Jr has said the United States will not bomb Iran’s power plants as Washington and Tehran have started discussions to end the war.
”I have instructed the department of war to postpone any and all military strikes against Iranian power plants and energy infrastructure for a five day period, subject of the ongoing meetings and discussions,” Trump said.
Trump had given Iran 48 hours to open the Strait of Hormuz or else the US will bomb power plants in Iran.
He said over the past two days Iran and the US have had “good conversations” on ending hostilities in the Middle East.
Iran has said the US and Israel are the aggressors in the war that has seen hundreds of deaths in the Middle East and destruction of property.
The war has resulted in the rise of oil prices across the globe in the past weeks.
