Harare – Law enforcement agents in Zimbabwe arrested two foreigners at Robert Gabriel Mugabe International Airport in Harare after they tried to smuggle into the country almost 70 kgs cannabis.
The two foreigners who were not identified according to their nationality had four suitcases that were packed with cannabis.
”The Zimbabwe Republic Police has arrested two foreign nationals at RGMI Airport who were coming from Thailand to Zimbabwe for drug trafficking,” the police said.
The first suitcase had 18.5 kgs loose skunky dagga, the second suitcase had 17 kgs loose skunky dagga, the third suitcase had 18.4 kgs loose skunky dagga and the fourth monarch had 16 kgs of loose skunky dagga, the police said.
Zimbabwe is battling a drug scourge with unemployed youths abusing narcotics.
