Bulawayo, Zimbabwe – A couple in Bulawayo has been arrested for being found in possession of huge quantities of dagga and cocaine.
The Zimbabwe Republic Police named the couple as Darian-Lee Kevin Lloyd Jackson (31) and Lakin Lee Robinson (32).
”On Thursday, Detectives from CID Drugs and Narcotics arrested a couple, Darian-Lee Kevin Lloyd Jackson (31) and Lakin Lee Robinson (32) for unlawful possession of dangerous drugs in Bulawayo CBD,” police said in a statement.
”Police recovered sachets of cocaine and huge quantities of dagga comprising Cheese cannabis, Dosidos cannabis, Gush mint cannabis, Sunset sherbet cannabis, Oreo cannabis, hot cake cannabis, Blue cheese cannabis, Gary Payton cannabis and Grape gas cannabis and loose dagga. These drugs were recovered in the suspects’ family vehicle while some were recovered at the suspects’ house in West Somerton Suburb, Bulawayo.”
Zimbabwe police this year arrested several people who were found in possession of dagga. Most of the people were found transporting the drug in buses from South Africa where the dagga known as ‘skunk’ is made.
High unemployment has been forcing people to take drugs while drug dealers have been on the rise as people try to find means to earn a living trading in illegal drugs.
