Harare – Two ZANU PF officials from Hopley have been arrested by the Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission (ZACC) on allegations of fraud after selling off portions of a private company’s land to over 200 home seekers, causing an estimated US$1.5 million in prejudice.
It is alleged that Muchichwa, the ZANU-PF Chairman for the Godfrey Chidyausiku District in Hopley, and Frendson, the party’s Branch Chief Security for the Josiah Magama Branch in the same area, subdivided Stand 34, Tariro Township, measuring 9.3473ha, which is owned by Sunshine Developments (Pvt) Ltd, and sold the stands to party members and other home seekers at US$300.00 each.
The accused, Muchichwa (41) and Frendson (37), are scheduled to appear in court on October 6, 2025, to face fraud charges.
