Accra, Ghana – Ghana and music lovers across the world are mourning legendary musician Charles Kojo Fosu who is known as Daddy Lumba, who has died aged 60.
Leading the condolence messages is Ghanaian President John Drama I Mahama who said Daddy Lumba’s death was irreplaceable.
”I have learnt with deep sorrow the passing of Ghanaian music legend, Charles Kwadwo Fosu, affectionately known as Daddy Lumba,”Mahama said.
”Lumba’s unmatched musical genius provided the soundtrack to our lives, carrying us through various phases of life. The beats to his memorable songs may have died down, but his enduring legacy will echo through the ages,” John Dramani Mahama.
”On behalf of the Government of Ghana, I extend heartfelt condolences to his family and loved ones for this irreplaceable loss.

Daddy Lumba highlife genre artist who started his music career in the early 80s.
He released 33 albums and over 200 songs.
Daddy Lumba’s most popular albums include Sika Sem, Aben Wo Ha, Wo Ho Kyere, Awosoo, Give Peace A Chance and Ahenfue Kyinkye.
Daddy Lumba was born on 29 September 1964 in the town of Nsuta in Ghana’s Ashanti region.
