Harare – Controversial businessman, Kuda Tagwirei has splashed US$1.8 million for a Austin Morris car which was once owned by Zimbabwe President Emmerson Mnangagwa in the 1970s.
The small car was auctioned at Hyatt Regency hotel in Harare which was part of the programme to raise funds for scholarships for students that attend University of Zambia.
The scholarships are awarded by Mnangagwa, a former law student at the university.
Tagwirei, a multi-millionaire in US dollars has made hundreds of millions from government tenders and other businesses.
