Nairobi, Kenya – President Emmerson Mnangagwa has arrived in Nairobi for a meeting with East African Community (EAC) chairperson, Kenya’s President William Ruto to help resolve the Democratic Republic of Congo conflict.
”I have arrived in Kenya for a meeting with H.E. President William Ruto, Chairperson of the East African Community. As SADC Chair, I am here to formalise the appointment of five facilitators to support regional efforts toward peace and stability in eastern DRC,” Mnangagwa who is the chairperson of the Southern African Development Community (SADC) said on X.

Mnangagwa and Ruto will formalize the appointment of five facilitators to help resolve the conflict in eastern DRC.
Fighting in the DRC has been going on and off in the past weeks as African leaders look for the lasting solution to the conflict between government forces and rebels.
