Mutare – A fire has destroyed at least 30 cars in Mutare at Brooms garage in the Riverside area on Tuesday morning.
The cause of the fire is yet to be established.
Fire fighters from Mutare City Council were called around mid-morning after which they extinguished the inferno which had reduced to shells at least 30 cars which were parked at the garage.
The cars include mostly Mercedes Benz vehicles which were parked at the garage.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the fire.
However, veld fires are common in Zimbabwe at this time of the year which is the driest period on the calendar.
