Harare – The Zimbabwe Olympic Committee (ZOC) on Sunday announced that Thabani Gonye has been re-elected as president.
”The Zimbabwe Olympic Committee congratulates Thabani Gonye on his re-election as President of the Zimbabwe Olympic Committee for a second term. We look forward to continuing our journey to excellence in Zimbabwean sports under his leadership,” ZOC said in a statement.
Fredreck Ndlovu was re-elected first vice president while former ZBC journalist Merit Munzwembiri was elected second vice president.
Mxolisi Ndlovu was elected as the new Treasurer of the ZOC Board.
Former long distance runner, Abel Chimukoko was elected board member of ZOC including Edson Chirowodza, Tawanda Sithole, Charmaine Chamboko, Lizzie Mupure, Xolisani Gwesela and Abigail Mnikwa.
Lawyers Rudo Magundani and Taona Sibanda were elected members of the ZOC disciplinary committee. Other disciplinary committee members include Blessed Ngwenya, Nyasha Saiand Kelvin Sabao.
