Harare- The much anticipated album launch by phenomenal dancehall artiste Seh Calaz (real name Tawanda Mumanyi) has reached fever pitch.
Titled Noah , the launch is pencilled for August 16 at the Aquatic Complex in Chitungwiza.
The Biblical Noah built an Ark and Seh Calaz aptly chose an aquatic complex for the grand event where water never runs dry!
The event is courtesy of Chitomborwizi Events in collaboration with Ghetto Chronicles.
The potentially explosive event is at advanced stages of planning,according to organisers.
In an interview with Timelynews Entertainment Tawanda Pilima of Chitomborwizi Events expressed excitement over the event.
“This is going to be a memorable event for Zimdancehall music,” said Pilima.
He said his team is dedicated to delivering a top-tier production.
Sharing similar sentiments, Ghetto Chronicles spokesperson Philemon Jambaya said the event will cement Seh Calaz’s legacy.
“Tawanda [Seh Calaz] is a household name, and this ‘Noah’ album will prove why he has been in the game for a long time,” Jambaya said.
The Noah project follows a string of hit singles released by Seh Calaz earlier this year including club favorites like “Mambo ndi Mambo” and “Ndipe Gwenya” featuring Kinnah, which have both enjoyed strong radio play and popularity on the dancefloor.
The launch event is expected to draw a large crowd and will feature performances by some of Zimdancehall’s biggest names like i Chillspot Family, Dadza D, Madedido, Kinnah and Hwindi President.
The star-studded lineup and a strong focus on high-quality production, the Noah album launch is shaping up to be one of the landmark music events in Zimbabwe this year.
