Bulawayo – ZANU PF Bulawayo Province (Zimbabwe’s second capital city) war veterans chairperson Jabulani Sibanda has on Tuesday strongly condemned tribalism and gave a stern warning to perpetrators and such minded,Timelynews reports.
He made a clarion call that it threatens national unity and hampers development.
Speaking at the Second Edition of the Land Tenure Implementation Committee Programme held at the National University of Science and Technology (NUST) in Bulawayo, Sibanda urged Zimbabweans to rise above ethnic divisions.
“Tribalism is destroying us. We are one people who simply speak different languages,” he declared.
“There is no muShona or muNdebele , we are one!”
The event, part of the is a sequel of the Leadership Success Series set to take place across all provinces, focused on fostering unity and development through inclusive dialogue.
Also in attendance was prominent businessman and chairperson of the Land Tenure Implementation Committee Dr. Kuda Tagwirei, who emphasized land.
Also in attendance was Special Presidential to the President Dr Tungwarara and prominent businessmen like Tawanda Mutyebere,Steelmate founder Clive Musenye,Fossil boss Obey Chimuka among others and Tagwirei showered praises on how the businessmen in question worked their way to the top
