Harare – The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Zimbabwe (ICAZ) will hold its winter school and investment conference at the University of Kent in Canterbury, United Kingdom from August 24 to 30.
The theme for this year’s winter school is “Global Perspectives, Local Impact : The Evolving Role of Finance Experts.”
The week long winter school is packed with speakers from Zimbabwe and the United Kingdom, including Zimbabweans working in the diaspora.
The speakers include Dr Cristian Holmes chief executive of CABA UK, Ronald Mutasa, Global Legal Manager at TrustLaw UK, Justin Bgoni, CEO Victoria Falls Stock Exchange, Ollie Walsh, President at Qenta and Nyasha Chakuma, ICAZ technical director.
Other speakers are Robbie White, director at Forvis Mazaars UK, Tendai Bwanya, Partner at Deloitte LLP, UK, Lucas Mandangu, director, Group Finance HSBC, Ciaran McSharry, chief executive officer at Jambo, Harpal Mann, chief executive officer at Mobitel, Alex Russell, Associate Director at Ipsos, London and
Wellcome Musiyamanje, senior Manager at Deloitte’s Client Assets and Safeguarding UK innovation hub.
Several banks and local companies have partnered with ICAZ to make the winter school and investment conference a success.
They include Afreximbank, FBC, CBZ, Old Mutual, Ecocash among many others.
The Zimbabwe Investment Development Agency (ZIDA) and Zimbabwe’s sovereign wealth fund, the Mutapa Investment Fund, will participate in the upcoming investment conference.
