Harare – Zimbabwe has increased Petrol and Diesel prices following the escalation of the conflict pitting US, Israel and Iran in the Middle East.
Diesel will now cost $1.77 and Petrol $1.71 with immediate effect.
Petrol and Diesel prices in Zimbabwe before the conflict in the Middle East having been around $1.50.
”The petroleum prices are with immediate effect from 4 March, 2026 for the next two weeks,” the Zimbabwe Energy and Regulatory Authority (ZERA) has said.
”ZERA will be closely monitoring the market developments to ensure that there is adequate supply in the market.”
ZERA said “without government cushioning, the actual prices would have been $1.90 a litre for Diesel and $1.81 a litre for Blend.”
The US, Israel and Iran conflict is closing into a week after airstrikes killed Iran leader, Ayatollah Khamenei and senior Tehran officials.
Iran has been retaliating firing missiles to Israel and US bases in Qatar, United Arab Emirates among other targets.
