Pretoria – Zimbabwe opposition leader, Job Sikhala case in South Africa in which he was arrested with his uncle carrying explosives in the car has been postponed to August 3.
Sikhala was arrested in South Africa in 2025 after being found with explosives in the car he was travelling in.
The South Africa Police Services (SAPS) said Sikhala,53, a lawyer and the former St Mary’s MP was arrested together with his uncle who is aged 78.
The police said following a tip-off
that a vehicle was transporting explosives they reportedly discovered 26 blasting cartridges and 15 capped fuse connectors.
Sikhala is one of the leading figures in the opposition who is against President Emmerson Mnangagwa 2030 agenda to extend his term from 2028.
