Beijing, China – Zimbabwe President Emmerson Mnangagwa will be one of the guests of the China’s grand parade which commemorates the end of the World War 2.
Mnangagwa who was in Rome on a state visit where he held meetings with Pope Leo XIV. He left Italy for China on Sunday.
”The President (Mnangagwa) has now left Rome for Beijing, the Chinese capital. He is one of the two African Heads of State invited to attend the Grand Victory Parade marking end of the Second World War. In the Far East, the Second World War took the form of Sino-Japanese War,” George Charamba, the president’s spokesman said.
”The only other African Head of State invited is President Sasso Ngueso of Congo-Brazzaville. At this grand occasion, the Zimbabwean leader will join the host President Xi Jingpin, Russian President Putin, Indian Prime Minister Modi, DPRK Kim Jong Un, Belarus’ President Lukashenko, Brazil’s President Lula and possibly Venezuela which currently faces threats from the American Government.”
