Following a productive Elective General Meeting, the Zimbabwe Olympic Committee (ZOC) is delighted to announce and congratulate the newly elected leadership of our Athletes’ Commission.
We extend our warmest congratulations to the newly appointed Chair, the esteemed Olympian from football, Rudo Neshamba. Rudo’s passion for sport and her experience as an Olympian will be invaluable in leading the Commission and championing the needs of our athletes.
Joining Rudo in steering the Commission is the newly elected Secretary, Helen Mitchel from Cycling. Helen’s dedication and organizational prowess will be crucial in ensuring the effective functioning of the Commission’s operations.
We are also thrilled to welcome the other elected members of the Athletes’ Commission – Qadr Amin, Mandlenkosi Marusenga, Felistas Muzongondi, and Ange Rene Van As who have stepped forward to serve their fellow athletes.
The ZOC Athletes’ Commission plays a vital role in ensuring that the voices of our athletes are heard and integrated into all aspects of the Olympic Movement in Zimbabwe. We are confident that under the leadership of Rudo, with the support of Helen and the entire commission, this body will continue to be a strong advocate for Zimbabwean athletes as they pursue their sporting dreams.
