Tehran, Iran – Iran’s Supreme leader Ali Khamenei on Wednesday said that any US military intervention would cause “irreparable damage” and stressed that Iran “will not surrender” in the face of threats.
The message from Khamenei comes after US President Donald Trump called for Tehran to surrender following days fighting between Israel and Tehran.
”Intelligent people who know Iran, the Iranian nation and its history will never speak to this nation in threatening language because the Iranian nation will not surrender,” Khemenei said.
Iran at UN on X said Tehran will not negotiate under duress.
”No Iranian official has ever asked to grovel at the gates of the White House. The only thing more despicable than his lies is his cowardly threat to “take out” Iran’s Supreme Leader,” Iran at the UN said on X.
”Iran does NOT negotiate under duress, shall NOT accept peace under duress, and certainly NOT with a has-been warmonger clinging to relevance.”
Israel has been bombing Tehran and other areas and Iran has been firing missiles into Israel.
Dozens of people have been killed in both countries as the tensions continue to rise between Israel and Iran.
