Sanyati – The home of war veteran Blessed Geza was petrol bombed on Friday night by unknown assailants in rural Sanyati.
The arson comes at a time when Geza is calling for mass protests to push for President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s resignation.
Geza’s house was destroyed by the fire, no deaths or injuries have been reported.
Geza is in hiding where he is posting videos online calling for people to protest on March 31.
Zimbabwe’s ruling party, ZANU PF is in the middle of a nasty power struggle between Mnangagwa and his deputy, Vice President retired General Constantino Chiwenga.
The power struggle was triggered by Mnangagwa’s attempt to prolong his term of office beyond 2028 when his second term ends.
This week four cars were torched at properties of Mnangagwa loyalists that include Wicknel Chivhayo, Kuda Tagwirei and John Mangudya.
