Harare – Customers of Simbisa Brands’ Chicken Inn have taken to social media X platform to complain that the food outlet serve too little French fries with their fried chicken.
Thandeka Mthiya who uses a handle on X @ThandekaMthiya, Mamthie in her post on Wednesday wrote: ” Chicken should just stop making chips and concentrate on chicken.”
French fries are known easily as ‘chips’ or fried potato chips.
Another customer tagged Chicken Inn agreeing with Mthiya’s observation of which Mthiya was said even if you tag Chicken Inn, Simbisa Brands “won’t respond.”
One other X user wrote that customers must just buy the bucket from Chicken Inn and buy chips from KFC or Chicken Slice.
Another X user Thuo oa Mavula wrote: ” Chicken Inn should do the meat (chicken) and Chicken Slice the chips.”
Another concerned customer said a petition should be written to Chicken Inn to push Simbisa Brands to increase the chips potion.
Another X user, @DannyChax, Gurungoro wrote that: “We need a petition for that, tbh (to be honest).”
Of which Mamthie agreed: “Yes, we do.”
Chicken Inn is one of the oldest chicken and chips outlet in Zimbabwe having been formed in the late 80s.
Simbisa Brands which owns Chicken Inn is facing stiff competition from Chicken Slice, KFC and other upcoming food outlets.
Simbisa Brands is owned by Innscor Africa and the majority shareholder is by Zinona (Zed) Koudounaris.
