Paris, France – Zimbabwe’s First Lady Auxillia Mnangagwa visited France this week to attend the Africa week celebrations which were hosted by UNESCO.
In a post on social media Auxillia Mnangagwa said she held meetings with France’s First Lady Brigitte Macron.
”During my visit to Paris, France where I was invited by UNESCO as the guest of honour for the Africa week celebrations, I visited the First Lady of France Mrs. Brigitte Macron at Palais de l’Élysée following her invitation,” Auxillia Mnangagwa said.
”As mothers of our nations, we exchanged notes on various issues related to women empowerment, education, health, tourism, agriculture, and child protection, among many others.”
Mnangagwa said Zimbabwe embraces France’s help in refurbishing Great Zimbabwe and Matopos tourist attractions.
”I also complimented France for its continued support towards development initiatives in Africa, which include the refurbishment and restoration of the Great Zimbabwe and Matopos which is being done by UNESCO headquatered in France,” she said.
