Harare – Police in Harare arrested four suspects for allegedly stealing mobile phones worth US$13 420 at a shop belonging to Vice President Constantino Chiwenga’s wife, Colonel Miniyothabo Baloyi -Chiwenga at Sam Levy Village shopping centre.
The suspects have been named as Blessed Luciano, Isaac Craig Chaza, Strive Matangira and Succeed Mukaro.
Colonel Baloyi-Chiwenga runs a shops that include Style by Minnie which is a fashion boutique that specializes in selling clothes for all age groups.
She also has a Facebook page where she posts about fitness and her life with her husband.
Cases of robberies and theft have been increasing in the country as the economic crisis deepens with unemployment in Zimbabwe hovering over 80 percent.
