Bulawayo, Zimbabwe – One of Zimbabwe’s top arts event, the Intwasa arts festival will be held in Bulawayo from September 24 to 27, the organizers have said.
Intwasa arts festival features dance, music, literature, spoken word and film.
The theme for this year’s festival is “Imagine it! Experience it”.
The festival was established in 2004.
In another notice Intwasa arts festival organizers are calling for people who can sponsor artists from as little as US$20.
The organizers said when one sponsors money he becomes a friend of Intwasa arts festival who will help nurture talent.
”Seeking 50 dedicated supporters to help empower emerging artists in poetry, hip-hop, dance, writing and music,” the organizers said.
”For just $20, you can become a friend of Intwasa and help provide a platform for talented young artists to shine,”
”Together, we can make a meaningful impact on the lives of emerging artists and contribute to the growth of Zimbabwe’s thriving arts scene,” the statement said.
