Bulawayo- BUSINESS tycoon and Zanu PF Central Committee member Kudakwashe Tagwirei has poured cold water on speculation that he harbours presidential aspirations,this publication can report.
He categorically stated his position when he addressed attendees at the Land Tenure Implementation Programme at NUST in Bulawayo Wednesday.
Tagwirei called the rumours “foolish”
He reaffirmed his support for President Mnangagwa and stated that there was no vacancy on the hot seat until 2030.
“There is no vacancy in the Presidency and President Mnangagwa is there until 2030,” he said .
Tagwirei further said his role was purely supportive to what he called true leadership.
, “I’m just a soldier sent by the President and that he is focused on executing the land reform agenda.
“As chairperson of the Land Tenure Implementation Committee,* he said.
Tagwirei clarified that his responsibilities are strictly tied to the President’s directive.
“I’m carrying out a task given to me by the President,” he said,firmly rejecting any suggestions of personal political ambition.
The event was attended by Special Advisor to the President Paul Tungwarara, businessmen Tawanda Mutyebere ,Steelmate founder Clive Musenye, Scott Sakupwanya,Obey Chimuka among other prominent businessmen who are bent on employment creation and national economic development.
