Pakistani – The United States and Iran are close to signing a peace deal after months of fighting, the mediator Pakistani Prime Minister Shebaz Sharif said in a statement on Friday.
“Amid ongoing intense mediation efforts by Pakistan, we are fully aware of incessant misinformation campaign being waged by those who want to sabotage the peace deal. Setting aside the noise, we can confirm that a final, agreed upon text of the peace deal has been reached and Pakistan is now working closely with both sides to finalize the next steps,” Sharif said on X.
“Peace has never been this close as it is now.”
The US and Israel bombarded Iran when the war started killing the Supreme leader in Tehran.
The war killed hundreds and disrupted global fuel supply resulting in spikes in the price of diesel, petrol and other petroleum products.
The US want Iran to agree that it will not develop a nuclear weapon.
Tehran has said the war can only stop if US and Israel stop attacking Iran.
