Harare – Zimbabwe President Emmerson Mnangagwa on Tuesday held a meeting with visiting Belarusian Minister of Defence Lieutenant General Victor Khrenin in Harare as the two countries close military ties.
Khrenin met with Mnangagwa at State House.
”I received a high-level delegation from Belarus at State House, led by the Minister of Defence, Lieutenant General Victor Khrenin, accompanied by senior military officials,” Mnangagwa said.
”Our discussions focused on strengthening cooperation in defence and technical areas, as well as expanding collaboration in agriculture and industrial development. These engagements reflect our commitment to building mutually beneficial partnerships with Belarus.”
Mnangagwa has maintained strong ties with Belarus president Alexander Lukashenko.
The two leaders have visited each other countries and have been having warm relations.
The visit by the Belarus Defence Minister shows growing bilateral relations between Zimbabwe and Belarus.
