Harare – Zimbabwe Human Rights Commissioner, Dr Martin Muduva was axed to death on Wednesday morning but his wife after a domestic dispute over marrying a second wife.
Dr Muduva’s wife later took her own life by taking poison.
The story has shocked colleagues and relatives of the deceased while social media has been awash with details around the tragic deaths.
The Zimbabwe Human Rights Commission (ZHRC) issued a condolence statement on the untimely passing of Dr Muduva who was appointed into the commission by President Emmerson Mnangagwa 2024.
”It is with profound shock and deep sorrow that the Commissioners and Secretariat of the Zimbabwe Human Rights Commission have learnt of the untimely passing on of Commissioner Dr. Eng. Martin Muduva and his wife,” the commission said.
”The death of Commissioner Muduva is a devastating loss to the Commission and to all those who had the privilege of working with him.”
