LEADER of Johhane The Fifth of Africa Archbishop Andby Makururu has pledged to offer financial support to members of a Zanu PF affiliate grouping Women In Global against poverty for economic development to secure passports in support of President Emmerson Mnangagwa leadership.
Makururu met its leaders of the affiliate grouping at a local hotel in Mutare today where they discussed various issues.
The women affiliate group was led by its Manicaland chairperson Blessmore Simango.
Makururu who is the patron of the affiliate said the organisation is going to be one of the biggest in the country.
“I am here with you so that we continue to know each other as your patron, l have heard about your programmes and that you have been visiting shrines of our liberation heroes in other countries and l am happy “he said.
“I am aware that you have been travelling for also business programmes but l am going to offer you with passports and it’s not me who is doing that but our President Emmerson Mnangagwa,”he said
“As your patron l will continue to support you and offer you advise and this is the beginning of our union,”.
Makururu however warned the affiliate to work hard and support Zanu PF programmes.
“We now have affiliates who are now after money and for you to succeed do not be after material gains without advancing the works of our President Emmerson Mnangagwa,” he said.
“Get me right l am not saying you should not have money but there are people who are putting personal glory instead of President Mnangagwa vision.”
Makururu is also known a gender champion as he has been fighting for the cause of girl and women rights.
Simango hailed Makururu as their father.
“Archbishop commander Makururu is going to help us in spiritual realm and advise for our affiliate to grow and this is why we chose them to be our patron,”she said.
