Harare – President Emmerson Mnangagwa has sworn-in Evelyn Ndlovu as the new Minister of Environment, Climate and Wildlife, and Albert Nguluvhe as Minister of State for Provincial Affairs and Devolution for Matabeleland South.
Ndlovu replaces Sthembiso Nyoni, who was fired last month. Ndlovu is a former Minister of Primary and Secondary Education and Permanent Secretary for Women Affairs and Community Development.
Nguluvhe assumes his first ministerial role. He is former director of security in the Central Intelligence Organisation (CIO), Zimbabwe’s spy agency.
“I congratulate both ministers and wish them success as they carry out their new responsibilities in support of national development,” Mnangagwa said.
Mnangagwa has been making changes in government including the security sector after war veteran Blessed Geza called for his resignation saying the ruler had run down the country.
