Harare – Prisca Rudo Mabhachi (44) was apprehended this afternoon by Matrix Private Detectives for allegedly transferring US$230,000 from a company account into her sister’s account, just one day after her employer died of a heart attack.
Mabhachi had access to the deceased’s internet banking credentials. The company had only two directors: the deceased and his wife, who was not actively involved in the business.
Investigators established that US$70,000 was subsequently transferred from the sister’s account into a law firm’s trust account. The purpose of this transaction has not yet been established, as investigations are ongoing.
Matrix Private Detectives are continuing with investigations to establish the full circumstances surrounding the transactions and identify any other individuals who may have been involved.
