Johannesburg – Chatunga Bellarmine Mugabe, the son of the late Zimbabwe dictator Robert Mugabe has been arrested in South Africa after he shot his employee several times in the affluent suburb of Hyde Park.
Chatunga allegedly had an altercation with his employee at his luxurious Hyde Park suburb after which he shot his worker several times.
The injured guard who is a guard was rushed to a nearby hospital in critical condition.
After the shooting, Chatunga reportedly locked himself inside a room and refused to come out when the South African Police Service (SAPS) arrived.
Specialist hostage negotiators were called in, and after hours of talks, the son of the former dictator was eventually arrested and taken away in handcuffs.
Chatunga is notorious for wayward behaviour in Zimbabwe, he has been arrested for assault before.
Reports say former Zimbabwean First Lady Grace Mugabe has been informed that her son, Bellarmine, allegedly shot one of his employees.
However, Grace Mugabe is unable to travel to South Africa to support him because she has an outstanding arrest warrant there, dating back to 2017.
Robert Mugabe was a violent and corrupt dictator who was deposed in a military coup in 2017.
