Harare – The director general of UNESCO Audrey Azoulay on Tuesday visited Great Zimbabwe monument in Masvingo and held a meeting with Zimbabwean President Emmerson Mnangagwa at State House in Harare.
”This afternoon, I received UNESCO Director-General Audrey Azoulay at State House. We discussed Zimbabwe’s collaboration with UNESCO in education, culture, heritage and the creative sector. I commend her leadership and commitment to inclusive global development,” Mnangagwa said on X.
Azoulay during her stay in the country she visited the Great Zimbabwe monument in Masvingo.
”We discussed many issues, our rich cooperation especially on the protection of cultural and natural heritage,” Azoulay said on her meeting with Mnangagwa.
”I thanked the president for having allowed me to go to the Great Zimbabwe monuments which is inscribed on the UNESCO’s world heritage list.”
